The focus of the panel discussion “Future Sounds. The new age of mobility” wasn’t only about optimizing acoustics in the car of the future. Experts from different fields showed what is currently possible in the creation of tomorrow’s sounds.

Stefan Zierke, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, and Ralf Thomas of ‘Volkswagen pro Ehrenamt’ (a voluntary service initiative) have appointed the Engagement Emissaries for 2019 in DRIVE. The ceremony was moderated by weathercaster Benjamin Stöwe.
A few days ago, Volkswagen introduced the ID. family forerunner to the public in DRIVE. Now everyone who comes here can get a glimpse of the future. And the future has a name: ID.3.
More than 250,000 visitors came to the DRIVE between November and March to see the exhibition “ERROR – The Art of Imperfection”. Ars Electronica, one of the world’s most prestigious media art festivals based in Linz, Austria, appeared for the seventh time in Berlin.
It’s all about programming, creating and learning: the digital learning lab DRIVEN BY KIDS is a free hands-on media education centre for schoolchildren and their teachers. From November to February, the media art exhibition ‘ERROR – The Art of Imperfection’ offered children from 4th to 6th grade an opportunity to use the creative potential of programming to transform simple algorithms into genuine works of art. DRIVE is now honouring the three best pieces and contributing up to EUR 1000 to the class funds.
