The Berlin Food Week is a diverse food festival that has been held annually in Berlin since 2014. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the pop-up restaurant Food Clash Canteen returns to the Berlin Food Week programme, this time at the DRIVE.
Over three evenings (8th to 10th October), in line with the current ICONIC exhibition, visitors will experience contemporary interpretations of iconic dishes by star chefs and local Berlin culinary figures: Rosina Ostler, Marco Müller, and Thomas Imbusch, at three different food stations each evening Rosina Ostler, Thomas Imbusch und Marco Müller.
The focus is on a culinary journey into the past decades. The temporary restaurant is the culinary part of the current exhibition “ICONIC - A Timeless Journey of Culture, Society and Mobility”.
The evenings are designed to bring culinary icons into the present and present them as unconventional casual fine dining with an entertainment factor – supported by iconic representatives of pop culture. Guests will be welcomed and guided through the evening by food expert and TV chef Felicitas Then, the first winner of the popular TV show “The Taste.”
Diners can look forward to a performance by Berlin entertainer and musician Friedrich Liechtenstein as Maître de Plaisir. The soundtrack for the evening has been curated by Love Parade icon DJ Dr. Motte .
After the starter, guests are taken to the first floor for the main course at the seated dinner with a view of the boulevard Unter den Linden, where a top chef awaits the guests with an exclusive main course. Dessert is served in the rooms of the Daily by Dallmayr on the first floor. The Dallmayr team led by Elmar Sertel has taken a traditional Cake buffet as a model and reinterpreted it. You can choose from a vegan Black Forest gateau, a mocha buttercream gateau in ice cream style and more.
