The DRIVE presents iconic music moments as part of its “ICONIC – A Timeless Journey of Culture, Society and Mobility” exhibition. On 11 July 2024 Max Herre and Joy Denalane are our guests with their exclusive Sound System Show – and with a bit of luck you can be here!
The duo are two of the most important and most successful musicians of the past 25 years. Joy Denalane Joy Denalane is the massively overpowering soul singer who has brought us ground-breaking, auto-fictional albums such as “Mamani”, “Let Yourself Be Loved” and most recently “Willpower”. Max Herre With his band, Freundeskreis, with its debüt, “Quadratur des Kreises”, and with his solo albums such as “Hallo Welt” and “ATHEN”, Max Herre on the other hand has established an entirely new narrative form and musicality in German hip-hop and rap.
There are a thousand forms of love. Ours is one of them – and the album is now our view of it.

Before they go on tour with their joint first album appearing in the autumn, “Alles Liebe”, they will be here in the DRIVE for an exclusive Sound System Show. They’ll present their collaborative work in the “Icon’s World” exhibition’s interactive space.
